More than 40 years of aviation experience and over 2,500 flight hours, an accomplished airplane and glider instructor with a broad and diverse flying background. Flown everything from the classic de Havilland Chipmunk to the pressurized Cessna 414 executive twin, serving in roles that range from general aviation pilot to airline First Officer for a local carrier. In addition to powered-flight experience, Malcolm brings many years of expertise in soaring, having trained numerous sailplane and glider pilots in the artistry and precision of unpowered flight. Instruction style blends deep technical knowledge with decades of real-world insight and experience, helping pilots at every level build confidence, competence, and a lifelong passion for aviation.

Meet Jack Hofeldt

Jack brings over 600 hours of total flight time and a strong background in single-engine and multi-engine aircraft. Holds CFI and MEI ratings and specializes in building safe, confident pilots through structured and practical instruction. Accomplishments include a 100% personal student checkride pass rate, with students successfully earning Private, Commercial, and Multi-Engine certificates. A key to Jack's effectiveness is that he tailors each lesson to the individual’s goals while adhering to high professional training standards.

Meet Michael McKenzie

Michael is a CFI based in the DFW area with a degree in Aerospace Administration and Operations from Oklahoma State University, where he completed his flight training. With 7 years of flying experience and 4 years in aircraft maintenance, he brings both practical flying skills and technical knowledge to his instruction.

Michael’s passion for aviation extends beyond the cockpit. He’s currently pursuing his A&P license and enjoys working on aircraft, cars, and building electronic projects. When he’s not teaching or wrenching on something, he’s usually camping, fishing, or hiking.
